Ready for a road trip? We have a night in Oudtshoorn, two nights in Plettenberg Bay and a night in Mossel Bay just for you.
Take a slow drive along the scenic R62 from Cape Town to Oudtshoorn, with epic stops along the way. Night one sees you at La Plume Boutique Guest House, a stylish Victorian Homestead on a working ostrich, cattle, and alfalfa farm just ten kilometres outside of Oudtshoorn. Relax in style, walk around the farm, explore the town and visit the Cango Caves.
Leave Oudtshoorn and take a leisurely drive to Plettenburg Bay. This 150km trip takes you over the magnificent Outeniqua Pass, down into George and over the Kaaimans Pass into magnificent Wilderness. Stop for a walk on the incredible beach, then take a leisurely drive through Sedgefield, a good place to stop for lunch. On to Knysna and then to Plett and the Robberg Beach Lodge, your home for the next two nights. This 5-star lodge is steps away from the Blue Flag beach, a short drive to the centre of town or the magnificent Robberg Hiking Trail, and an easy drive to attractions like Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Nature's Valley and a variety of excellent golf courses. Or you could just chill at the pool at the lodge and enjoy your meals outside overlooking the ocean. The choice is yours.
After two days of beach bliss, it's time for a 140km drive back to Cape Town through Knysna, Sedgefield and Wilderness and then on to Mossel Bay for a bush experience at the Garden Route Game Lodge. Your luxury tent awaits at this 4-star lodge where you can enjoy a mini safari, perhaps a spa treatment, time out at the restaurant and pool for time out in nature.
